The Birds of Bramalea

Two years before the release of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds, Bramalea was invaded with its own flock of birds…or at least the advertisements were.

Early Bramalea marketing was plentiful and often playful/humorous.  One curious aspect of many from 1961 is that they have two birds placed somewhere in the image. Guess which advertisement is my favourite!
